Retreats

Retreats are a good alternative to other types of holidays or vacations.  Spiritually oriented retreats offer that deeper connection with yourself and others.

While retreating, you are focused on growing yourself while learning a happier and healthier way of living, surrounded by solitude, spacious time and natural beauty.

As someone who is passionate about both attending and leading retreats, I share a few reasons why retreats are important for healthy living.

  • Get off the hamster wheel of day-to-day stressful living.  Life today is more stressful than ever.  With the brilliance of new technology comes multitasking, over-stimulation, a longer to-do list and the need to take care of more people…right now!  Take time to unplug from modern-day life is cutting the cord to stress.  Going on retreat does just that.
  • Acquire new information and tools for conscious daily living.  While participating in a guided retreat, with focused activities to explore, experience, grow and nurture yourself, you return home renewed, refreshed and awakened.  Like a breath of fresh air, you’re able to see your life from a different perspective.
  • Honor the call to reconnect to your spiritual Self.  A part of you knows you could be happier and this happiness isn’t connected with money or stuff.  There’s a yearning to go deeper and create your life from within.  The world is awakening and changing.  During retreat you acquire information and tools to navigate this new terrain with spaciousness and fun along the way.
  • Connection with like-minded peers and meet new friends.  You don’t need to feel isolated and alone in your spiritual awakening.  There’s a global shift going on.  Retreats offer an opportunity to connect with others who share the same passions and values around personal and spiritual growth.  Friends who could last a lifetime.
  • Reconnect with nature. Being in nature connects you to beauty and the awesome miracle of life.  Being in nature helps you to connect to the present moment, leaving you feeling peaceful, expansive and free.  Retreating to beautiful places allows nature to work it’s magic on you.
  • Retreats allow you to heal.  Traditional medicine only covers up symptoms of our disease.  Retreating gives you the time, tools and support for getting to the root of what’s really going on and allows you to heal deeply from within – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
  • You have fun!  Having fun is vital to good health and well-being.  Exploring things like art, movement and drumming in a safe and loving environment reconnects you to your inner child within.  You feel lighter, looser, creative and relaxed as you open yourself to the freedom and joy of playing and having fun.
